Over 5000 whales have been seen up until late August and

a total of 20,000 will pass before mid November.

Cruise Adventures has now logged over 12,400 trips and

operate 2 whale watching boats this season.

In June 2014 Migaloo the white whale come to within 2 metres of our RIB. This year we saw him again .. wow!!

Port Macquarie whale watching is the best it gets. The gentle giants of the sea, majestic humpback whales, migrate past here non-stop from May until November.

Port Macquarie Cruise Adventures' vessel Discovery (shown above) is the longest running whale watching cruise boat in the area. This fast 40ft (12 metre) all weather catamaran and our fast 8.5 metre RIB (see sports boat page) carry only 12 passengers each to sea. Forget the crowds. Every person can get that perfect photo from boats that are less intrusive.

With headland spotters we have little trouble finding humpback whales during the season.

We have also seen Orcas (killer whales), False Killer Whales, Pilot, Minke, Brydes & Southern Right whales as well as 3 species of dolphins, sea turtles, fur seals, manta rays & sharks.

Discovery is a multipurpose cruiser and can carry up to 48 passengers in the river.

All people going to sea are strongly advised to get advice about sea sick prevention.

Several cruises daily. All departures are from our turquoise floating office on the wharf at the north end of Short Street Port Macquarie. Look for Cruise Adventures signs.
